2023 Co-Rec League Schedule
Sunday Rules clarifications
1. Team captains are the voice of each team. As team captain, it is your responsibility to ensure your team is following the rules and bring any questions or concerns to the attention of the board. Each board members contact information is listed on the Website at waverlysoftball.com and you can contact us directly or you may also send a message through the Waverly softball facebook page and we will address any issues that may arise.
***Please keep in mind, as mentioned at both the Winter meeting and this year’s captains meeting, if we can not get a handle on the arguments and issues for Sunday night CoRec, next year we will have to raise the league fees and have paid umpires for all the games****
2. 6/4 field - When fielding, Guy must be catcher. The rest of the position are the same as playing 5/5. 2 guys and 2 girls in the outfield, 2 guys and 2 girls in the in field (you can NOT for any reason have 3 guys in the outfield)
3. Batting order - You can not bat more than 2 guys in a row at any given time including going from last batter back up to the top. You can bat more than 10 as long there is never more than 2 guys batting on a row however batting must be even…..6/4, 7/5, 8/6 etc.
4. Walk rule - Anytime a guy walks, the guy takes 2 bases regardless if batter is a guy guy line up. If a batter is on 2nd base and a guy walks, the 2nd base only moves one base to 3rd. If there is 2 outs and a guy walks and the next batter is female, she has the option to take 1st base without batting, however, if the next batter is a guy, the guy HAS to bat.
5. Game time schedule: 5pm games have to end at 6pm regardless of start time. There should be no reason a 5pm game starts later than 5pm. The only time a 5pm game would end after 6pm is if the teams are currently tied. Games can not end in a tie. Teams are to make every effort to stay with the hour time limit however, it is possible as the night goes, 6, 7 and 8pm games may start later than schedule.
6. Subs - If a guy is currently on a roster, he cannot sub for another team. Guys do have the option to be on the sub roster list which will allow a guy to sub for one team per night. Guys can not be listed on both a team roster and the sub roster. It has to be one or the other. Girls can sub for any team any time no matter if they are on a sub roster or a team roster.
Any questions or concerns, see item #1.
Thanks.
